Cici's Pizza - Longview, TX
Saturday, March 2, 2024 was Dr. Seuss’ birthday which started the National Read Across America Week. I partnered with Cici’s Pizza on Judson Rd. to celebrate & promote this by giving my books as a birthday gift to the birthday child (birthday child receives 1 book) when a birthday party is booked anytime this year. I developed a “fundraiser friendship” with the manager Chris & his assistant Sasha, back during the days I worked in Global at Longview High, ordering pizza every Friday for the kids to sell as their fundraiser for trips, parties, etc. I’m an advocate for literacy & preliteracy, so I believe Reading Across America should be promoted every day, all year long!
